Have you ever wanted to crack a whip like Indiana Jones or Cat Woman?
Have you ever wanted to learn the art of Sport Whip Cracking
or have you ever just wondered why they made that cracking sound?
Then come join us at the St. Louis Area Whip-Nic.
The purpose of the Whip-Nic is to further the sport of whip cracking and
to help develop correct whip handling skills in the new whip cracker
and the advanced.
All skill levels are always welcome.
The basic whip cracks, advanced double handed routines,
target cutting and more will be demonstrated and explained
as well as whip maintenance, repair and most importantly, SAFETY.
Come join us for a great day of good family fun.
If you don't have your own whip, don't worry, we'll bring plenty.

DIRECTIONS:
From Downtown St. Louis: Take 44 west to the Bowles exit.
Take Bowles south (Back over the hiway, 44) and turn left onto south
east service road. Head back east on the service road and turn
right (south) onto Larkin Williams rd. Larkin Williams rd will run right
past the park.
From West County: 141 south to 44 East. Exit at bowles road and turn right and
immediate left onto south east service road. Turn right onto
Larkin Williams road and follow to park.
Look for whip group up in the pavilion with the children's
play equipment. We practice in the field below. (Next to the ball
diamond)
IF YOU DON'T SEE US ... JUST LISTEN FOR US.
NOTE:
Whips make that sound because the tips move at speeds
between 750 and 900 miles per hour (Faster than most bullets from a gun)
The Sound you hear is a small SONIC BOOM.
Whips are capable of breaking bones and cutting flesh so Safety is MOST
IMPORTANT!
Long pants and sleeves and wide brimmed hats are recommended and
EYE PROTECTION is a must. (Eye glasses, sun glasses, goggles etc.)
